Pizza With Young Voter Registration On Top Around Abington

""It is so important for us to engage the youth in our society. They want to know what is happening and they want to stay informed."

ABINGTON, PA -- Young voters, ages 18-25, from the surrounding areas of Abington came out to register to vote for their first time to make their voices heard this election year. They registered to vote, entered their absentee ballot request forms as they prepare to leave for college and more importantly, most of them attending wanted to know more about what is going on in their community and how they get involved.

The event was co-sponsored by Anthony Scalfaro and Thom Estilow, who are both running for State Representative in Legislative Districts 153 and 154, respectively.

"It is so important for us to engage the youth in our society. They want to know what is happening and they want to stay informed on what goes on in their community. They are the next generation who will be growing and sustaining our great communities and they want to ensure their voices are heard," said Scalfaro.

The packed room of young voters who attended the pizza party at Riviera D'Italia in Roslyn, PA had great things to say about the event.

One attendee who was asked how the event went said "It was great to see those running for public office to take the time to meet and speak with us. It is a great indication of their constituent service platform. They really made me feel that I have a voice in our community and my opinion matters."
