ABINGTON, PA — Police shot a suspect inside an Abington home Sunday, where at least one victim was suffering from stab wounds, sources state.
The incident occurred at a home on the 800 block of Jenkintown Road at around 3 p.m. Sunday, authorities said.
A woman who had been stabbed during a fight in the home ran across the street to the McKinley Fire Company to ask for help, according to reports.

The suspect was also found inside and was reportedly shot by officers at least once, NBC Philadelphia said.
The condition of the suspect and the victims is unknown at this time.

Police said there is no "ongoing threat" to the community at the situation has been resolved.
"Earlier today members of the Abington Township Police Department responded to a reported violent domestic that was life threatening," the department said in a statement issued Sunday afternoon. "The officer used force to end the violence. There is no ongoing threat to the Abington Community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of this horrible event. More information will be released at a later time."
It marks the second shooting involving an officer in Montgomery County over the past week. An armed suspect was also shot by police in Norristown on Tuesday.
The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office will investigate the incident, as it does with all officer-involved shootings in the county.
