Rockledge Adds New Police Officer To Its Ranks
Police Officer Dan Staley was sworn in before Rockledge Borough Council on Aug. 26.
ROCKLEDGE BOROUGH, PA —The Rockledge Borough Police Department has added a new police officer to its ranks.
Police Chief John Gallagher said that Dan Staley was sworn in as the newest full-time Rockledge officer by Mayor Jim Caffrey in front of Borough Council with his girlfriend, family, and close friends looking on with pride on Aug. 26.
"I had the honor of welcoming his loved ones and introducing him to our residents who were in attendance. It was such a great night for Dan, and I couldn't have been happier for him," the police chief said.

As a part-time officer since 2022, Staley led the police department in traffic enforcement and has volunteered to cover as many shifts as possible.
"All of our neighbors, business owners, and visitors know him from all of the property checks that he does along the Huntingdon Pike business corridor," Gallagher said. "He has also made some good arrests during the past two years, as well as helping other officers with arrests that they've made, too."

"On behalf of Mayor Caffrey, the Rockledge Police Department, and the Borough of Rockledge, I'd like to take this opportunity to give Dan my sincerest, heartfelt congratulations, and thank him for what he has done for our community for more than two years now. I look forward to working with him for many years to come. I'm confident that he'll be a leader in this department one day," the police chief said.
