Abington Police announce results one year after the BusPatrol program went into effect.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — One year after cameras were added to Abington Township school buses, the police department has reported its findings from using the program.

The Abington Township Police Department said over 3,800 violations have been recorded of drivers who illegally pass school buses instead of stopping.

Most school districts in Montgomery County now arm their buses with cameras to prevent accidents involving vehicles striking students getting on and off the bus each day.
