Teen Girl Missing Since June 22: Montco Authorities

Abington Township Police said 16-year-old Miaizabella "Mia" Nicasio left her Jenkintown home on June 22.

JENKINTOWN, PA — Police in Abington Township are asking for help finding a missing teenage girl.

Police said Miaizabella "Mia" Nicasio, 16, of Jenkintown, left her home on June 22 and is considered a runaway.

The teen left a note saying she was leaving, police said.

Nicasio does not have her cell phone, but has contacted family via social media to say she is OK.

However, police said after contacting others, she blocks them from communications.

Police said it is unclear what she was wearing when she left, but she appears to have taken a backpack of clothes with her.

She is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 116 pounds, and has brown eyes and dark hair with red highlights.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Abington Township Police Department at 267-536-1100 or call 911.
