Trump Speech Furthered 'Lies and Division:' Dean
U.S. Rep. Madeleine Dean said she was "disappointed but unsurprised" by President Donald Trump's Joint Address to Congress Tuesday night.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —U.S. Rep. Madeleine Dean reacted to President Donald Trump's speech before Congress Tuesday night,
"In another year, with another president, I would have hoped this Joint Address to Congress would be a vision for a bright future," Dean said in a Facebook post following the speech. "Regardless of party, I would have hoped for an address in which the President invites us all to come together on behalf of the American people. Sadly, I knew better than to hope for that tonight."
Dean, who represents parts of Montgomery County, said she was "disappointed but unsurprised" that President Trump used a joint session to further his lies and division.
