Woman 'Brutally Attacked' At Abington Laundromat: Police
Abington Police said a man who assaulted a woman at the Roslyn business early Wednesday morning is now in custody.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The man police believe "brutally attacked" a woman while she folded clothes inside a township laundromat early Wednesday morning is now in custody.
The Abington Township Police Department reported the aggravated assault at 7 a.m. Wednesday in the township's Roslyn section.

Police said a man entered the laundromat and "brutally attacked" a woman, punching the woman in the face several times, Lt. Steve Fink said.
The victim suffered lacerations, swelling, and fractured bones and was transported by ambulance to the hospital due to the severity of her injuries.

The victim said she did not know the man and had never seen him before.
The man fled the area eastbound on Woodland Road, police said.
In addition to the clothing he was wearing, the man was carrying a blue shopping bag of some kind.
Police said it is believed that the suspect is homeless and frequents the Roslyn and Abington areas.
Police caught the suspect and placed him in custody on Friday afternoon.
