PENNSYLVANIA — Democrat John Fetterman is touting a major fundraising boost for his campaign following the surfacing of a video showing Republican opponent Dr. Mehmet Oz talking about "crudité" while shopping in a grocery store.

The video, which was released in April, showed Oz walking through a store he called "Wegners," an apparent amalgamation of Wegman's and Redner's. In decrying grocery prices amid inflation, Oz talked about how expensive it was to get crudités — a French dish that is made of vegetables and a dip.

“In Pennsylvania, we call this… a veggie tray,” Fetterman was quick to say.

"Under Joe Biden, gas prices are skyrocketing and food prices are rising," Oz shared in the video. "We must stop the reckless spending. This is outrageous! Thanks a lot, Joe."

Fetterman's campaign said they have raised more than a million dollars since the crudité video resurfaced. That included $65,000 strictly from a Fetterman “Let Them Eat Crudité” promotional campaign.
