PA Man, Father Of 3 Dies Trying to Help Victim Of Accident
Tens of thousands have been raised for the family of a father and veteran being hailed as a selfless hero.
PENNSYLVANIA — Tens of thousands in donations and tributes from around the country are pouring in for a Pennsylvania man and father of three who died while trying to help the victim of a car crash last week.
Timothy Baclit, 41, was driving on I-376 in Beaver County on Dec. 5 at around 1 a.m. He was in Hopewell when he saw a vehicle had crashed into a guardrail at a high overpass, and he stopped to help.
But as he was trying to assist the young man Baclit slipped, and fell 27 feet off the overpass to his death.

“Tim’s honorable duties will be remembered as a veteran, a father, a son, a brother, but mostly he will be remembered forever, by everyone as a hero,” his family wrote in the GoFundMe.
The donations will be used to fund educational expenses for Baclit’s three children, Gabby, 19; Kaden, 17; and Chandon, 14.

Nearly $46,000 had been raised from some 700 donors as of late Saturday.
Further details on the accident were not immediately available. Pennsylvania State Police are continuing to investigate.
