Some PA Residents Will Receive Checks For Rent, Property Tax

Rebate checks are going out in the mail for some Pennsylvanians.

PENNSYVLANIA — Rebate checks are going out in the mail for some Pennsylvanians through a state program that aims to help residents stay on their feet amid the impacts of historic inflation.

The property tax and rent rebate program applies to senior citizens over the age of 65, widows over the age of 50, and individuals with disabilities over the age of 18.

“Sky-high inflation is hitting renters and homeowners hard all across Pennsylvania,” Pennsylvania State Treasurer Stacy Garrity said. “With so many people struggling to make ends meet right now, Treasury is committed to sending out these payments as quickly as possible."
