• Driver sentenced to prison for Bethlehem hit-and-run that killed 20-year-old (lehighvalleylive.com) — An Allentown man has been sentenced to six to 17 years in state prison for a 2024 hit-and-run crash that killed a 20-year-old Allentown resident after they left a park in the city. The fatal wreck happened in West Bethlehem, and investigators later tied the driver to the abandoned car through DNA evidence. Prosecutors say the victim was left calling for help as the driver fled. 
• Allentown cop faces DUI charge after reportedly driving to testify in court (lehighvalleylive.com) — An Allentown police officer from Forks Township has been charged with DUI after allegedly arriving impaired in the city to testify in a homicide case, according to court records. He’s on administrative leave and faces a preliminary hearing in Allentown’s DUI Central Court, where prosecutors must show there’s enough evidence for the case to proceed.
