Final grandstand show announcement sets Allentown Fair on crash course (lehighvalleynews.com) — Allentown Fair’s grandstand schedule is now set, with the J&J Demolition Derby returning Labor Day evening to close out the weeklong event at the Allentown Fairgrounds. The lineup also features The Four Tops with the Allentown Symphony Orchestra, wrestling, country and pop-punk shows, with tickets on sale now and including fair admission.
   

2. Lehigh Valley Public Media Acquires WLVR-FM (radioinsight.com) — Lehigh Valley Public Media is buying Allentown’s 91.3 WLVR-FM outright from Lehigh University for $55,000, solidifying its role in local news and talk radio. The deal formalizes a six-year partnership and lets Lehigh shift student media toward digital, while LVPM continues offering internships and real-world experience to area students.
   

3. Man sentenced after flying without certificate, killing student pilot in Lehigh Valley (local21news.com) — A New Jersey pilot has been sentenced to six and a half years in prison after a 2022 crash of a plane that had just taken off from Allentown killing student pilot Keith Kozel. Federal prosecutors say he flew passengers for months after surrendering his pilot certificate, and he pleaded guilty to manslaughter and multiple aviation-related charges.
   

4. ‘We don't need them here': Sen. Coleman urges residents to 'stay organized' against data centers (lehighvalleynews.com) — Data centers proposed for South Allentown and nearby townships are drawing intense pushback, with Sen. Jarrett Coleman urging residents to stay organized and oppose them. He’s backing state bills to pause new facilities and repeal tax breaks, while Allentown City Council reconsiders its own data center rules on June 17 after residents demanded stronger protections.
