Cinnamon Rolls, Cookies and More and Homemade Delights

Fresh, made from scratch baked goods being whipped up every morning on Lindenwold Avenue in Ambler.

After residents have been asking for a bakery in downtown Ambler for years, Homemade Delights, has opened its doors.

Offering something different everyday for those with a sweet tooth, Tracey Hering is making cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, cupcakes, pies, candies and more.

“There will always be cinnamon buns,” said Hering.

Hering is also making hand-dipped chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered marshmallows, and chocolate dipped strawberries, as well as house-made truffles.

Special orders can also be requested, whether you want a special bakery item; house made cakes for a birthday, baptism, or any other party; or chocolate lollipops for favors or gifts.

Hering said she has had a good reception by the community since she opened and is looking forward to meeting more people and even more business as the word gets out about the bakery.

Hering has been a 12-year resident of Ambler and has two children, ages 15 and 19. She said her kids’ favorite baked good she makes is her chocolate chip cookie recipe. It’s a family recipe and the cookies stay soft and chewy.

Homemade Delights is located at 19 Lindenwold Ave., in Ambler, at the corner of Lindenwold and Race streets. The bakery is closed on Mondays but open Tuesday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
