Meals on Wheels Walk for Wayne

The Second Annual Meals on Wheels Walk-a-Thon will be held April 21 at Montgomery County Community College. Registration begins at 8 a.m., and the Walk for Wayne begins at 9 a.m.

The event will feature a 3K walk and one-mile loop.

Registration is $20, free with pledges of more than $100. All participants who raise $100 will receive a free event t-shirt and goodie bag.

The event is in memory of Wayne McKallip, a dedicated MOW driver in Ambler, who personified the perfect volunteer. Wayne died suddenly in 2011. The walk is also in honor of all the volunteers who care.

Proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels programs at Montco SAAC in Norristown, Ambler and Eastern Montgomery County.
