Ramp Riot 2011

The 12th annual regional robotics competition, Ramp Riot 2011 will be held Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in Wissahickon High School's Circle Gym.

More than 30 teams from five East Coast states battle it out in an arena-style competition, with non-stop action, free Kids Driving Zone, music, games, prizes, and "Girls in Gear" technology program.

Ramp Riot is Team 341's annual off-season event. With its humble roots as an 8 team scrimmage back in 2000, Ramp Riot now draws 36 teams and over 2,500 spectators yearly. Every November, those 36 teams (representing up to 8 states) come together to battle it out in arena-style competition. However, Ramp Riot is much more than that. Attending teams use Ramp Riot to introduce rookie members to the FIRST® atmosphere and gear up for the coming season. Ramp Riot also hosts helpful seminars and information sessions for teams to share what they know and learn from each other.
