Tree Planting Event at the Ingersoll-Clayton House

Lower Gwynedd Township invites all residents to help kick off the redevelopment of the historic Ingersoll/Clayton House property on Old Bethlehem Pike with a community tree planting event on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 8:00 AM to 12 noon

From Beth. Pike, turn onto Old Beth Pike by Wells Fargo Bank and go behind the township bldg. and just over the stone bridge on the left is the long driveway to the historic home. Trees to be planted near the pond.

The Township’s Gwynedd Green Committee is sponsoring the event Ed Brandt, Chair of the Township’s Board of Supervisors and a member of Gwynedd Green, notes, “This is a wonderful way for the Township to commemorate Earth Day and National Arbor Day, both of which occur in April.   It’s also a great opportunity to introduce the community to the Ingersoll/Clayton House and our plans for its development as a Township resource.”

Supervisor Mark Grey, also a member of Gwynedd Green, points out that “all Lower Gwynedd residents can help us enhance our community in environmentally responsible ways.  Planting more native trees is a great way to do that, and this event will provide a lot of valuable information to interested people.”
