Every Dog Has Its Day & A Donation!

Shirley's Run Presents a Check to Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals

Ross Schriftman, organizer of Shirley’s Run, Maple Glen’s only 5K run and 1K walk that raises funds for animal organizations, donated $2,100, the proceeds of the event, to the Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals, a rescue organization located in Radnor, Pa.

“Shirley’s Run is a continuation of my mother’s mission of supporting organizations that either rescues animals or trains them to be of service the community,” said Schriftman. “Since Mom had several shelter animals as pets, I am extra happy to present a donation to this year’s recipient, Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals.”

Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals is a no-kill shelter that has been placing dogs and cats in loving homes since 1909. To learn more about the Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals, go to http://francisvalehome.org.

About Shirley’s Run:
The Shirley’s Run 5K is an out and back course on gradual rolling hills and flats traveling on neighborhood roads in Maple Glen. Starting at the Maple Manor Swim Club on Dillon Road and going out to Howe Lane at Welsh Road and returning. It is a great course for top runners to have a challenging but fast opportunity to achieve a personal best, as well as for first timers to experience a 5K run. Proceeds from the run go to the Shirley Schriftman Fund for Animals, which supports animal rescue and service animal training organizations throughout Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
