How to Celebrate New Year's Eve Locally

Whether in the city or just in town, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the new year.

How do you ring in the New Year? Do you celebrate at home with loved ones? Hold a big bash? Or are you looking for something special to do this year?

Start your night off with dinner out. Unlike Christmas Eve and Christmas day, many, many restaurants are open. OpenTable has a long, long list of local restaurants and restaurants in the city that are open and offering specials.

Prism Brewing in North Wales is celebrating their first year open and ringing in 2012. They will be featuring an open bar with the full lineup of craft beers, a buffet, and a souvenir glass commemorating the night.

Joseph Ambler Inn in North Wales is holding a New Year’s Eve dinner party. Dinner is served from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. For the price of your ticket, you also get a glass of champagne.

In Horsham, has crafted a special New Year’s Eve menu and will have a DJ beginning at 10 p.m. They will also be tapping beers throughout the night: At 8 p.m. Burton Baton, 9 p.m. Pangaea, 10 p.m. Olde School Barleywine and 11 p.m. Dogfish 120 Minute IPA.

Then, the difficult decisions begin – how to celebrate and ring in 2012?

The Please Touch Museum rings in the New Year early, celebrating “Noon Year” at 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. with activities, music and confetti. Perfect for the little ones who won’t be able to stay awake until midnight.

The second annual New Year’s Eve Ghost Tour at the Powel House in Old City. The tour includes a candle light tour of the mansion and more.
