Kathryn Solkshinitz, 89, formerly of Ambler

It is with a great sense of sadness and loss that we announce the passing of Kathryn Solkshinitz, 89 formerly of Ambler, died Saturday.

Born in Palmerton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Maxsym and Paranka (Nee Hribchak) Solkshinitz.

Miss. Solkshinitz was involved for many years with the Boy Scouts of America, particularly as a Den Mother in Ambler, from which she retained many fond memories. She had a strong Catholic faith and volunteered her time with various churches and was always willing to help someone out in a time of need.

She is survived by her brother, John Solkshinitz, sister-in-law Margaret, their children and grand-children.

Family and friends may call Friday, March 30th from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 16 S. Spring Garden Street., Ambler followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Eugene M. Tully, Pastor. Interment will be private.
