BLUE BELL, PA — The nature of the safety issues that led to the postponement of a data center summit event in Montgomery County remain unclear this week, with officials declining to provide details.
Commissioner Tom DiBello said Tuesday that "growing security concerns" had led organizers to push back the summit, previously scheduled for March 18 at Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell.

The summit, hosted by DiBello, aims to gather various providers, including industry experts and corporations that utilize data centers, to provide their side of the debate on a variety of issues, including energy demand, grid capacity, water usage, and more.
The county said they are not involved in organizing the event.

However, critics have expressed concerns that the "industry experts" will not be sharing fairly competing viewpoints. They're also concerned that the identities of the providers and experts speaking at the event have not been made public. DiBello has said those details will be provided when the event is rescheduled.
