New Pastor Called to St. John's, Ambler

June 4 mark's the ordination and installation of Pastor Rachel Anderson. A luau follows the 11 a.m. event.

Rachael Anderson will become the newest rostered leader of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, during a service of Ordination, Consecration and Installation at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 24 N. Ridge Ave., Ambler, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 4. Officiating at the service will be The Rev. Claire S. Burkat, bishop of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod. Friends, family, congregation members and Ambler community neighbours are invited to attend this special event.

A celebratory, luau-style meet-and-greet will follow in the church hall. Please RSVP to cifarrell@comcast.net if you plan to attend.

Who is Pastor Rachel Anderson? Ms. Anderson came to St. John’s in February of 2016. She earned her Master of Divinity from The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia in 2015. Previously she earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in 2011 with majors in English Literature and Psychology from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. Prior to arriving at St. John’s, Rachel served a congregation in Plymouth Meeting, PA. From August 2013-August 2014 Rachel served a year-long internship in Sparks, Nevada.
