Send One Suit Weekend Collects Suits for Women in Need

Dressbarn is teaming up with the non-profit organization Dress for Success to gather more than 60,000 articles of clothing as part of its Send One Suit Weekend. The clothed clothing will benefit the thousands of women who are unable to gain employment because they lack presentable job interview clothing.

This year’s clothing drive marks the 10^th consecutive year of the drive and will be held March 1 through 4.

“All 825 Dressbarn stores across the country will serve as drop-off sites for new or gently used professional attire including suits, dress shirts, blazers, pants, dresses and shoes that will be used to benefit women seeking to transition into the workforce,” said a press release from Dressbarn.

Dressbarn at 2840 Dekalb Pike in East Norriton, collected between 60 and 80 suits during last year's event.

Full suits are welcome, but suit pieces are also taken – jackets, skirts, blouses, pants, anything that will help women in job interviews.

“All of the collected professional items will be given to the international non-profit organization, Dress for Success, which will then distribute the articles nationwide to women looking to gain a job or trying to re-enter the workforce,” said the press release.

Dressbarn in East Norriton is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 5 p.m.
