Shanachie Voted Readers' Choice for St. Patrick's Day
Readers chose Ambler's Shanachie as the local place to get their Irish on, on St. Paddy's Day.

Ambler Patch readers have chosen Ambler’s as the best place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
The Shanachie, which that they would be closing their doors on March 31, has been celebrating the holiday all month, with music, food and drink specials and more.
The Fox Philadelphia Hot List has voted The Shanachie Best Irish Pub in the Philadelphia area in 2008 and 2009.

As previously reported by Patch, “Entertainment and weekly specials will run right up through March 31st at the Shanachie, the last day for the restaurant. Tuesdays through the rest of the month will continue feature the traditional Irish music session.”
Perkiomen Valley Patch editor said, “This is so sad! The Shanachie is a great place, and I've always enjoyed my visits there. My friends and I met the owner while we were there for dinner, and he could not have been more charming and friendly.”

According to the Shanachie’s website, “St. Patrick's Day Music starts with The King Brothers for Breakfast at 9am, followed by McGirr and Alberts and Timlin and Kane. First Lunch seating at 11:30am.
