Skin Miracle Cures Found at Green Street Luxuries

Candy St. Martine-Pack began making skin cures for ailments of friends and family. Now she owns two stores, one in Lansdale and a new location in Ambler.

is still relatively new to the Ambler area, but, after you’ve heard the name once, you’re sure to remember it. From skin eczema to sore feet, Green Street Luxuries has the all-natural cure for you!

Candy St. Martine-Pack spent a lifetime dancing. From the age of five, her feet barely left the studio’s floor. Her passion for the athletic art led her to a profession of running a performing arts school in Doylestown, spending all of her time outside of her administrative tasks working with dancers and their aching bodies and with teachers who had always washed their hands one too many times.

While wishing to ease the pain of those tender feet and help the dry cracks of those sore hands, work was not St. Martine-Pack’s only motivation to create her luxurious products. When her youngest son was born with severe eczema, hospital staff put tar in his open wounds to help. Because the tar didn’t heal the wounds, however, doctors recommended steroid crèmes for the newborn.

The concept of using steroids with such a tiny baby seemed extreme to the experienced mother, and she went back to memories of using honey and castor oil to cure such ailments. With the idea, St. Martine-Pack went to work experimenting with all sorts of oils and crèmes. From calendula to olive oil to Tamanu oil, the dedicated mother searched high and low for a cure that would work.

Years passed after St. Martine-Pack had found this passion for discovering the perfect balances of ingredients for eczema and other related issues, and St. Martine-Pack later faced the challenge of her teenage daughter’s rosacea with confidence and skill. Through the many needs of her family members and close friends, St. Martine-Pack began to develop a mighty product line of all-natural solutions effective for the most obscure ailments.

While the products were never for sale and always specific to those in need, it was not long before Candy’s loved ones were urging her to put her wonderful miracle cures on the market. Three short years ago, the brave business owner did just that at the Lansdale Farmers’ Market, where customers flocked to her products. After finding such success in the community, St. Martine-Pack opened the first Green Street Luxuries on Main Street in Lansdale in October of 2009. “This business started out of the love of my family,” the unlikely entrepreneur said.

As they say, the rest is history. Green St. was moved to Rapunzel’s Salon in December of 2010, where production remains today. Another location was opened in Lancaster in July 2011 and the location we have all come to love in Ambler opened just a few short months ago in August of 2011.

Thankfully for the residents of Ambler, St. Martine-Pack and Green St. Luxuries have settled nicely in the welcoming community and are here to stay. “We’re absolutely thrilled to be here,” she said proudly, commenting on how much she loves being part of the Ambler family.

If you, a member of the Ambler family, have yet to visit St. Martine-Pack, you are missing out! Green Street Luxuries still carries the classic solutions for skin ailments, but also has everything from relief from stiff muscles and seasonal allergies to special lip balm to get you through the winter months. Every product is packaged in a recyclable or reusable container, they are all gluten-free, and most are free of animal products for St. Martine-Pack’s vegan customers.

If St. Martine-Pack doesn’t have something you need, just tell her! Green Street Luxuries is constantly growing and adapting. The stores now carry a councilman-specific soap and oils just for nurses! The ingenious business owner and luxury-manufacturer will find a cure that works for you. “[I love] making people feel better,” she said with a smile.
