Sonic on Swede Rd. Hiring Now
New Sonic on Swede Rd. in the Swedes Shopping Center, is looking to fill approximately 80 to 100 positions and is taking applications now.
Sonic, America’s Drive-In, is planning on opening the first Norristown area drive-in in the Swedes Shopping Center, early next year.
Sonic specializes in made-to-order fast food and is known for their footlong quarter pound coneys (hotdogs with chili and cheese) and their 398,929 drink combinations.
According to a press release, the new Norristown location is now hiring to fill approximately 80 to 100 full and part-time positions, such as shift leaders, crewmembers and Sonic’s signature skating carhops.

“SONIC stands for opportunity, which includes career opportunity and the opportunity for our employees to have personal and professional growth,” Don Welsh, franchisee of the Norristown SONIC Drive-In, said in the release. “We’re excited to open the first Norristown SONIC and look forward to hiring great employees for our SONIC team.”
Those interested in joining the Sonic Drive-In crew can visit the Sonic Job Center at 2953 Swedes Road, Norristown, located next to LA Fitness and Cricket Wireless.

Local Sonic representatives will be taking applications from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

A job fair for Sonic will also be held on Saturday, Dec. 17 in the Swedes Shopping Center, at 2953 Swedes Rd, Norristown.
