UPDATED WEATHER ALERT: Montgomery County's Hour-by-Hour Forecast of First Day of Spring Snow
The Weather Channel says snow will begin as a light shower as early as 6 a.m. Friday and become heavier as the morning progresses

The first day of spring will look more like the middle of winter, thanks to a storm due to arrive Friday morning.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the region. Forecasters with the Weather Channel are predicting as much as five inches of snow for the Bucks and Montgomery county region.
According to the NWS, snow will start Friday morning and continue through the afternoon before becoming a wintry mix and then changing to rain. The Weather Channel says snow will begin as a light shower as early as 6 a.m. and become heavier as the morning progresses. Precipitation should taper off around nightfall.

Drivers should be aware that travel conditions may be hazardous during the Friday morning commute and throughout the day.
The good news is, the snow likely won’t stick around long. Saturday should be sunny with temperatures in the low 50s, according to the Weather Channel.

Here’s a look at the detailed forecast, provided by the National Weather Service:
Tonight: Increasing clouds, with a low around 28. Northeast wind 3 to 6 mph.
Friday: Snow before 5 pm, then rain and snow. High near 36. East wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Friday Night: Rain and snow before 8pm, then a chance of snow. Low around 29. North wind 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
