Wissahickon Dismissing Early Friday To Prepare For Coronavirus

Students will have a half day Friday as Wissahickon works to prepare for a possible closure due to coronavirus.

AMBLER, PA — Students will have a half day Friday, March 13, as Wissahickon works to prepare for a possible closure due to coronavirus.

There are no cases of the virus in the district, but, as the district noted Thursday, "one of the very real possibilities is that schools may need to be closed in the not too distant future for an extended period of time."

Staff will work on remote learning plans in case closures are required.

Middle school students will dismiss at 11 a.m., high school students at 11:05 a.m., and elementary school students at 11:50 a.m.

There are 13 cases of coronavirus in Montgomery County, and 21 across Pennsylvania.
