Four more individuals in Montgomery County tested positive for coronavirus Thursday, bringing the county total up to 13.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Four more individuals in Montgomery County tested positive for coronavirus Thursday, bringing the county total up to 13. There are 21 total cases in Pennsylvania.
New cases of the virus have been announced daily in the local area since the weekend, leading to high schools and elementary schools closing for days and college campuses in the area to shut down for weeks.
It's not yet clear where these latest presumptive positive cases are located within the county, and the extent to which these individuals interacted with the larger public before it was discovered they had the virus.

The news comes a day after a Lower Providence Township police officer tested positive for coronavirus.
Many of the school closings in the local area were due to authorities tracing the virus back to families that had contact with a CHOP doctor in King of Prussia who later tested positive.
New school closures in Montgomery County Thursday include Wissahickon's announcement that they will dismiss early Friday, and Manor College's decision to close campus for two weeks.
The National Basketball Association announced Wednesday night it is suspending the season indefinitely after a multiple players tested positive for the virus.
