Wissahickon Makes Monday School Decision Amid Snowstorm

The severe snowstorm has impacted roads and infrastructure throughout the area.

AMBLER, PA — Wissahickon School District will have a traditional snow day on Monday, Jan. 26 after a powerful snowstorm swept through the region on Sunday.

There will be no virtual instruction. It's the route most districts in Montgomery County and the nearby area took for Monday's courses, with some notable exceptions, like Phoenixville and North Penn, choosing to hold virtual classes.

"Due to weather conditions, the Wissahickon School District will observe a traditional snow day tomorrow, Monday, January 26, 2026," the district shared in a statement. "All district buildings will be closed, and staff should follow Scenario A. Enjoy the snow, stay warm, and be safe!"
