2 Rescued From Trench In Lower Merion
Two men were rescued from a trench in which they were stuck in waist-deep soil Wednesday after the ditch collapsed, officials said.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Crews rescued two contractors who were stuck in a trench Wednesday in Lower Merion Township, according to officials.
The incident unfolded at about 11:35 a.m. when emergency responders got a call of two men stuck in a ditch, Montgomery County officials said.
Two contractors were stuck in waist-deep dirt in the area of the 1200 block of Mt. Pleasant Road in the township's Villanova section, Lower Merion and county officials said.

The two were rescued by firefighters at about 12:40 p.m., according to officials and the Bucks Daily Voice.
County officials said the men were taken to Lankenau Medical Center by ambulance.
