Alleged Machete-Wielding Attacker In Custody: Lower Merion Police
Lower Merion Police said the man wanted for allegedly attacking a man in Lower Merion with machete is now in custody.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — A man who is accused of attacking another man with a machete in Lower Merion has been arrested.
Police said Romeo Gagliardi, 25, was taken into custody in connection with an assault that occurred at 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug 20 between the Cynwyd Trail and Schuylkill River.
Gagliardi is facing charges of felony aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, possession of an instrument of crime, recklessly endangering another person, and harassment, court records show.

He is accused of attacking a homeless man with a machete Aug. 20.
The victim was treated on scene by Narberth Ambulance and taken to Lankenau hospital for further treatment.

Gagliardi was held on $25,000 bail. He is slated for an Aug. 28 preliminary hearing.
