Obama Campaign Opens Ardmore Field Office Aug. 8, Before First Lady Visits MontCo

On Wednesday, August 8, the night before First Lady Michelle Obama visits Pennsylvania, local Democratic elected officials and Organizing for America Pennsylvania (OFA PA) staff and volunteers will open a new field office at 6:45PM in Ardmore at 1 East Lancaster Avenue. Members of the media and the public are invited to attend to learn more about OFA PA’s work to build the strongest grassroots organization possible by registering voters, talking one-on-one with neighbors about the issues that affect them most, and encouraging them to support President Obama in November.

The Ardmore field office will serve as a community hub for the organization’s activities in the area, where volunteers remain focused on reaching out to their neighbors to talk about how President Obama is fighting for middle class security and share details on how the Romney Tax Hike would affect Montgomery County residents.

According to a new independent report, Mitt Romney’s Tax Hike would raise taxes on 4.9 million Pennsylvania middle-class families with children by more than $2,000 on average to pay for his $5 trillion tax plan tilted to the wealthiest. The office opening will also showcase a new online Tax Calculator released by the campaign that allows individuals to see just what the Romney Tax Hike would mean for their family’s wallet – and how much tax relief they have received over the last four years as a result of the President’s tax-cutting policies.
