Ardmore Oktoberfest 2018: What You Need To Know

ARDMORE, PA – Ardmore Oktoberfest is nearly here, and you may be wondering what the annual autumnal festival entails.

We've got details on the event here so you can make the most of the day.

Ardmore Oktoberfest will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29 along Cricket Avenue in Ardmore. If you're getting to the festival using a GPS, organizers recommend using 17 Cricket Ave. as the target address.

Getting into the event is free, but there is a $1 donation for age-verification wrist bands for those looking to enjoy adult libations.

The day will feature German fare, robust brews, live entertainment from The Bulldogs and James D. Um Pah Band, and dancing.

Local establishments McCloskey's Tavern, John Henry's Pub, and Jack McShea's will be selling German foods – such as bratwurst with sauerkraut, pretzels with obatzda (German cheese sauce), and potato pancakes with apple butter – to keep attendees fed.

And of course with Oktoberfest comes beer.

Beers available at the event include Paulaner Oktoberfest, Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest, Spaten Oktoberfest, Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin, Strongbow Golden Apple Cider, Easy Jack IPA, Yuengling Oktoberfest, Coors Light and more.

Tired Hands will be offering a VIP beer garden experience, too. For $50 a person, the VIP ticket includes four beer tickets that can be used anywhere at the event and access to the VIP area with special selections of Tired Hands beer, exclusive seating area, food voucher for use at the event, German pretzels, and non-alcoholic refreshments.
