Ardmore Woman to Appear on 'Martha Stewart Show' Wednesday Morning
Alanna Beckett will be featured on the Hallmark Channel at 10 a.m.

Faced with hosting her family’s holiday festivities this year, Ardmore resident Alanna Beckett will get a significant assist Wednesday morning when she meets with Martha Stewart, the Dalai Lama of domesticity, on live, national television.
Beckett will be featured on “The Martha Stewart Show” at 10 a.m. on the Hallmark Channel, during what’s billed as the “Chocolate Show” edition of the program. She’ll be joining Stewart on the set to “craft a decorative tree made from Ghirardelli chocolates.”

Beckett would also “love to ask Martha for tips on what to serve” at her family gathering, and “how to make her first holiday as an adult special,” said a publicist for Stewart on Tuesday.
Beckett, a New York native who grew up on the Main Line, is a 2005 graduate of , according to her Facebook page. She graduated from Temple University’s school of nursing in 2010 and now works in the surgical/trauma intensive care unit at Einstein Medical Center in North Philadelphia.

But beyond her professional achievements, Beckett is evidently a home-and-hearth gal—according to Stewart's people, she has “watched Martha on television since childhood” and “enjoys scrapbooking, cooking, making wreaths and adding personal touches to her home.”
The show will be repeated on the Hallmark Channel at 2 p.m. Wednesday, and then again at 1 p.m. Thursday.
