Ardmore, PA -- Several students with an Ardmore religious group are traveling in El Salvador and learning about conflict resolution and leadership.
The students are affiliated with St. Mary's Episcopal Church.
According to the church, the journey has included meetings with local dignitaries. On Wednesday, they met one of the founders of the Museum of Word and Imagery (MUPI), Georgina Hernández Rivas, to talk about youth movements in El Salvador throughout history.

They then took a tour of the National University, where on July 30, 1975, thousands of students who gathered in a peaceful protest were massacred by members of the country's National Guard.
"Murals around the University are a testament to the bravery of these students and ongoing struggles for peace in the country," the church said.
