Ariana Bucciarelli was surprised to learn that she was picked to be the GET Cafe Employee of the Month.
“I was happy,” said Bucciarelli.
GET Cafe Shift Supervisor/Human Resource Supervisor, Olivia Kinder, explained why the senior staff chose Bucciarelli.

“Ariana is a great example of our vision here at GET,” said Kinder. “She not only mastered the grill, the cash register, and the drink station, but more important, she’s been able to teach other employees (what to do at these stations).”
Kinder elaborated that whenever someone is needed to wash dishes or to work at a specific station, Bucciarelli is always the first to volunteer.

“I like working here,” said Bucciarelli
Bucciarelli first learned about GET in 2019, a few months after it opened. At the time, she could have graduated from Lower Merion High School, but she opted to stay and be a super senior until age 21.
“They (Lower Merion teachers) were teaching me life skills,” said Bucciarelli.
She was unsure what she would do when she turned 21.
One day, she and her mother decided to have coffee at GET. They were thrilled to see people with disabilities employed there. It was a place where disability did not matter. For those reasons, she wanted to become part of GET.
Bucciarelli started working there and became a vibrant member of the GET Family. It was her first and only job that she has ever had.
This month, the Ariana drink is hot coffee; her favorite drink.
Her favorite GET stations are the grill and drinks, yet she will work wherever she is needed.
