Arrest Made In Murdered Ardmore Model's Home Burglary
A man who allegedly burglarized Christina Kraft's Ardmore apartment days before she was murdered was arrested in Philadelphia recently.

ARDMORE, PA – Months after model Christina Kraft was killed in her Ardmore home and her killer charged, a man who allegedly broke into her home days before her death has been arrested.
According to court documents, Andre Melton, 31, of Philadelphia, was arrested Wednesday, Dec. 6 on drug charges in Philadelphia.
Melton was wanted by Lower Merion Township Police for burglary, criminal trespassing, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property – all felony charges – in connection with a break-in at 36-year-old Kraft's Ardmore apartment on Aug. 19.

Melton was remanded to the Montgomery County Jail on $25,000 bail after being arrested in Philadelphia.
Melton’s preliminary hearing is now scheduled for Dec. 21.

Kraft was beaten and strangled to death in her apartment on the 100 block of Sibley Avenue on Aug. 22, allegedly by Jonathan Harris, 30, of Johnstown.
Harris has been charged with first, second, and third-degree murder, robbery, and more after being arrested Aug. 29 while getting off a bus in Pittsburgh thanks to tips from the public.
He was denied bail at his Aug. 30 preliminary arraignment and remanded to the Montgomery County jail.
The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office allege Harris – who was released from prison in July – met Kraft in Philadelphia during the early morning hours of Aug. 22.
The DA said there was no apparent relationship between Harris and Kraft before that day.
The two then took a car to Kraft's apartment on Sibley Avenue in Ardmore, where police said Harris beat and strangled her to death.
Harris is slated for trial in May 2019, court records show.
