BREAKING: Controversial Ardmore Development Approved, Reports Say
A lawsuit blocking the development was reportedly rejected by the judge.

The controversial development of the Cricket Avenue parking lot in Ardmore by Dranoff Properties has been approved, according to a Main Line Media News report, as a judge rejected a lawsuit that would further stall the development.
President Judge Dan Pellegrini dismissed claims by a local activist group, the Save Ardmore Coalition, that state funds had been misappropriated for the project, the report states.
Grants for the project are due to expire in April 2016, and opponents of the development were hoping to stall the project until then, according to the report.

Activists believed that the $15 million allotted in grants was meant for the Ardmore train station.
Pellegrini said it was always meant for more than just that.

The building in the current Cricket Avenue parking lot is expected to include 110 luxury apartments and 8,500 square feet of retail space on the street level. It will also include a parking garage that will provide 35 more spaces than are currently offered.
One of Save Ardmore’s chief concerns with the project is insufficient parking along the Main Line, a problem that they say would be exacerbated by the development.
Although there will be 35 additional parking spots, they note that there will also be significantly increased traffic in the area and many more residents.
The group intends to appeal the decision.
