Aki Matsuri Fall Festival Presented by the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia

The Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia is pleased to announce that their 2nd Annual Japanese Fall Harvest Festival.
Aki Matsuri is a traditional fall festival in Japan that is centered around giving thanks for the harvest and wishing for good fortune for the future.
The event will include activities for all ages, including several “Make-and-Take” exhibits where guests can learn how to do Origami, make mini Chochin Lanterns, Koinobori Fish Flag Making, and Uchiwa Fans. There will also be traditional Japanese games for kids and adults, including YoYo Tsuri Balloon Fishing and a Toy Fishing game.
On the main stage, throughout the afternoon there will be Taiko Drumming, traditional Japanese Bon music and dancing, as well as Karaoke, and a Cosplay contest. Japanese food offerings will be brought to you by Maido!, as well as Oiishi Shushi and Ramen, and Matcha Café Maiko.
ADMISSION IS $10, Children 12 and Under are Free; Activities such as the Make-and-Take, children’s games, and food are pay-as-you-go.
