1 Hospitalized After Wynnewood Building Fire, Explosion

A fire broke out just before noon at a property on the 600 block of Sussex Road in the Wynnewood section of Lower Merion Township.

WYNNEWOOD, PA — Crews battled a building fire in Wynnewood for a few hours Monday, and one person has reportedly been hospitalized

According to Montgomery County, a fire broke out at about 11:37 a.m. at a property at Sussex and Grenox roads.

Fire apparatuses were still being called to the scene as of about 12:30 p.m., according to the county.

Social media users reported hearing a loud explosion in the area of the fire.

Action News reports the explosion was likely a propane tank blowing up as a result of the fire.
