Burglar Tried To Enter Ardmore Apartment Over Weekend

Lower Merion Police said the burglary suspect fled the area after the homeowner confronted him.

ARDMORE, PA — A would-be residential burglar was thwarted when he was confronted by the homeowner over the weekend in Ardmore, Lower Merion Police said.

Police said an attempted burglary occurred at about 4:14 a.m. on Saturday, July 13.

An apartment at the Harrison House Apartments on the 200 block of East Montgomery Avenue was targeted by a burglar at that time.

Police said a man tried to enter an apartment through a sliding glass door.

However, the man fled the area after he was confronted by the homeowner, police said.

The suspect was described as a white man with a well-groomed look who was wearing light-colored clothing, police said.
