Burglaries, Vehicle Thefts, More: Lower Merion Crime Blotter

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township released a month's worth of crime incident details.

The incidents occurred between Nov. 2 and Nov. 27.

Nov. 27
Theft of Bicycle (Bryn Mawr) – Suspect arrested for theft of bicycle. Bicycle returned to owner.

Nov. 25
Burglary (Merion) – Residential burglary. Vacant house was entered. Taken were copper pipes and other items.

Nov. 24
Burglary (Ardmore) – Commercial burglary. No force to the building. Once inside the actor cut a lock off of the deadbolt securing the office area. Cash stolen.

Burglary (Ardmore) – Commercial burglary. No force to the building. Actor cut bolts and removed the safe. Cash stolen.

Nov. 23
Theft from Building (Ardmore) – Several packages stone out of lobby area.

Nov. 22
Theft of Catalytic Converter (Wynnewood) - Catalytic converter stolen from a Prius.

Theft of Motor Vehicle (Villanova) – Vehicle parked in the front driveway and unlocked with the keys in it was stolen.

Nov. 21
Theft of Motor Vehicle (Villanova) – Vehicle parked with keys were in it was stolen.

Nov. 19
Attempt Theft from Motor Vehicle (Green Hill Farms) - Victim’s vehicle was ransacked while parked on the street. No loss.

Attempt Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts (Merion) - Actor attempted to cut the catalytic converter off of the victim’s vehicle.

Theft from Building (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim had money stolen from her purse while at commercial property.

Nov. 18
Burglary (Wynnewood) – Residential burglary. No force. Nothing missing, but once inside the actors turned on the water and intentionally clogged the drains flooding the residence.

Nov. 16
Attempt Theft from Motor Vehicle (Wynnewood) - Resident’s cameras captured two males attempting to steal items from vehicles parked in the driveway. No loss.

Theft from Motor Vehicle (Wynnewood) - Victim’s vehicle was entered overnight while parked in the driveway. Loose change taken.

Nov. 15
Theft from Building (Ardmore) – Several packages taken from lobby area.

Theft from Building (Bala Cynwyd) – Several packages stolen.

Nov. 13
Theft from Motor Vehicle (Villanova) - Victim’s car and house keys were stolen from the center console while vehicle was parked in the driveway.

Nov. 11
Theft from Building (Ardmore) – Package stolen from lobby area.

Nov. 10
Burglary (Bala Cynwyd) - Actor forced entry into the victim’s apartment via the main door. Once inside the actor ransacked the apartment and stole various items.

Attempt Theft of Motor Vehicle (Merion) – Actor broke the rear passenger side window on the victim’s car. There appeared to be a pry mark on the molding and glass both inside and out. Nothing appeared to be taken.

Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts (Merion) - Theft of a catalytic converter.

Theft of Motor Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Vehicle was loaned to a previous employee who took it to New York and now refuses to return it.

Nov. 8
Theft of Motor Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) – Vehicle parked with keys in it stolen.

Theft of Motor Vehicle (Wynnewood) – Vehicle parked with keys in it stolen. Vehicle was recovered and actor arrested by Delaware State Police.

Nov. 5
Theft of Motor Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) – Vehicle left running with keys in the ignition was stolen.

Nov. 2
Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts (Ardmore) - all four wheels were removed from the victim’s vehicle.

Theft from Building (Merion) - Theft of a backpack from inside an unlocked employee office.
