Burglars Try To Hit Merion Home Friday Afternoon: Police

Police said burglars tried to break into a Merion home in the middle of the day on Friday by breaking a side door window.

MERION, PA – Police in Lower Merion Township said burglars tried to get inside a Merion home in the middle of the day recently.

According to police, an attempted home break-in occurred at about 1:51 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4.

Burglars were trying to get inside a home on the first block of Merion Road in the Merion section of the township, police said.

Officers were called to the home after a burglar alarm went off.

Police said when officers arrived the found a broken window on one of the home's side doors.

Luckily, the suspects were not able to get inside the home, police said.
