Burglary, Robbery, Vehicle Theft, More: Lower Merion Crime Blotter

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township released more than a week's worth of crime incidents that occurred in the township recently.

Incidents detailed occurred between Oct. 6 and Oct. 19.

Oct. 19

Attempt Theft from Motor Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim's vehicle window was smashed and the vehicle was ransacked.

Attempt Motor Vehicle Theft (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim's vehicle window was smashed and the steering column was tampered with.

Attempt Motor Vehicle Theft (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim's vehicle window was smashed and the steering column was tampered with. The vehicle was also ransacked.

Motor Vehicle Theft (Bala Cynwyd) - Victims vehicle was stolen while parked in a parking lot.
Theft of packages (Bala Cynwyd) - Amazon packages were stolen from a loading dock.

Oct. 16

Attempt Theft of Motor Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Two vehicles were forcibly entered, and the steering columns were dismantled in an attempt to steal the vehicle.

Burglary (Bala Cynwyd) - During the daytime hours, the victim's residence was forcible entered and ransacked.

Robbery (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim was forced into her vehicle and demanded to drive to multiple banks to withdraw money.

Oct. 15

Theft From Motor Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victims window was smashed out of vehicle and items were removed. Another vehicle was discovered to have a smashed window as well.

Oct. 14

Theft (Wynnewood) - Victim's License plate was removed from their vehicle.

Attempt Theft From Motor Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victims observed actors attempting to enter their vehicle while in the driveway.

Loitering and Prowling (Gladwyne) - Victim observed two males on their property possibly attempting to steal the victim's vehicle.

Criminal Mischief to Auto (Merion) - Victims driver side window was smashed out of their vehicle. Nothing taken at this time.

Attempt Theft from Motor Vehicle( Merion) - A rear passenger window was discovered shattered while officers investigated the above incident.

Oct. 12

Burglary (Penn Valley) - Force to a residence during the daytime hours.

Oct. 11

Pick-Pocket (Ardmore) - Wallet removed from victims purse while shopping.

Oct. 10

Attempt Theft Of Motor Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victims vehicle was forcible entered and attempted theft after the steering column was found damaged.

Theft From Building (Bryn Mawr) - Over $100k worth of jewelry missing from residence.

Oct. 9

Theft Of Motor Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Two vehicles were forcible entered and stolen from a parking lot during the overnight hours.

Oct. 6

Strong-Armed Robbery (Bala Cynwyd) - Physical altercations during a retail theft.
