2 Merion Homes Burglarized Wednesday; Safe, Cash, Jewelry Stolen

Lower Merion Township Police said a second home in Merion was broken into sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

MERION, PA – Two homes less than a mile apart in the Merion section of Lower Merion Township was burglarized sometime in the morning or afternoon on Wednesday, according to police.

Police said a home on the 200 block of north Bowman Avenue was broken into sometime before 3 p.m. Wednesday, and a home on the 200 block of Oakhill Road was broken into sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

On North Bowman, the burglar or burglars got inside the home through an unlocked second-floor window, according to police.

After getting inside the home, the burglars stole cash and jewelry, police said.

On Oakhill Road, the home was entered through an unlocked window, police said.

Once inside the burglars stole a safe and jewelry, according to police.

The suspect in the Oakhill road break-in was described as a black man in his 30s who was wearing gloves and dark clothes, police said.
