Comms Consultant Needed At Lower Merion Education Foundation

The part-time position pays $20 per hour with about 10 to 15 hours per week at busy times and less during summer months.​

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — The Education Foundation of Lower Merion is looking for qualified candidates to fill a part-time communications job at the foundation.

The Foundation Administrator is a part-time communications consultant that serves the Education Foundation of Lower Merion and reports to the Foundation President.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in marketing and communications and/or development; knowledge of or experience with Raiser’s Edge and Constant Contact platforms a plus; and experience in non-profit management, fundraising and planning major events.

Additionally, outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills including writing, computer, website, and social media are necessary.

Candidates must be self-starters with the ability to manage own workload and manage multiple projects at once.

Knowledge of Lower Merion schools and the Lower Merion and Narberth community is preferred.

  • Serve as the administrator of the Foundation including maintaining office hours once per week.
  • Develop communications materials for the Foundation, including website and print materials.
  • Handle all general Foundation incoming and outgoing correspondence, including letter-writing, email and phone communication, and check deposits.
  • Prepare monthly reports to the Treasurer and attend Foundation meetings.
  • Assist Board leadership and Committee Chairs with communications support and planning and implementation of fundraising events and campaigns as necessary.
  • Coordinate scheduling and planning of Foundation meetings.
  • Update the website regularly and maintain the Foundation’s social media presence.
  • Maintain database of correspondence and donor prospects.
  • Represent the Foundation at community and parent organization meetings.
  • Grant-writing as needed for Foundation programs.
