Crews Battle Train Fire In Lower Merion Thursday Night Into Friday
The first firefighters at the scene found a diesel locomotive on fire on a westbound center track in Lower Merion Thursday night.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Firefighters battled a train fire Thursday night in Lower Merion Township, according to first responders.
Crews from the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore and the Bryn Mawr Fire Company were called to the Haverford train station at about 10:04 p.m. Thursday for a report of a train fire.

Firefighters and Amtrak supervisors established a command and started attacking the fire.
The fire was under control at about 12:04 a.m. Friday.
