As SEPTA works on the Ardmore Train Station project, crews will be in the area overnight this week removing trees and more.

ARDMORE, PA — SEPTA is working on the two-year construction project at the Ardmore Train Station. Lower Merion Township recently provided an update on the project to keep riders in the know of what's going on.
Now through Thursday, crews will be removing trees overnight along the track right-of-way from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Additionally, crews will be doing soil boring overnight through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. in the township employee parking lot next to the police station.

However, riders and residents are urged to pay attention to any posted construction signage and warnings for safety purposes.
Due to the work, the permit parking lot is closed and will remain closed for about two and a half years.
Parking will be available at the corner of Ardmore Avenue and Lancaster Avenue.
Additionally, parking will be made available at the Wynnewood shopping center.
As part of the project, new station and high level platforms, all of which will be ADA accessible, will be constructed.
Other aspects of the project include:
- Ensure that passenger amenities at bus and rail transportation facilities are safe and attractive;
- Continue to provide a safe, convenient, and efficient multi-modal transportation system (Township and regional-basis);
- Improve commuter access for all modes of transportation to reduce the number of transit users who drive to the station and provide ADA accommodations at transit stations and bus stops utilized by residents; and
- Actively advocate for continued service on all Amtrak and Septa rail lines.
