Dog Walker Watch Community Safety Program Hosting Nov 9 Training
Lower Merion's Dog Walker Watch program trains dog owners on how to keep an eye out for crime and more in their areas while walking dogs.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Lower Merion residents who want to help keep their neighborhoods safe while walking their dogs may be interested in attending Dog Walker Watch training next month.
The Lower Merion Police Department and Community Watch are hosting a Dog Walker Watch training class on Thursday, Nov. 9.
Training will take place at 7 p.m. at the Ardmore Fire House, 35 Greenfield Ave. in Ardmore.

Interested residents are asked to register online here.
"This is a great way to help keep Lower Merion safe," Matt Peskin, President of Lower Merion Community Watch, said. "The more trained eyes and ears – the better. The Dog Walker Watch training program includes both dog walkers and recreational walkers."

Peskin said the Dog Walker Watch program has spread to over 3,000 communities nationwide.
Two guests will win a Ring doorbell and all dogs will be awarded a Dog Walker Watch bandana.
