DUI Crackdown In Lower Merion Through Oct 17

Lower Merion Township Police will be out looking for impaired drives as part of a national initiative through mid-October.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township are cracking down on DUI drivers for the next 10 days.

From Friday to Monday, Oct. 17, Lower Merion Township Police Department will be conducting Impaired Driving Patrols throughout the township.

The crackdown will feature intensified, highly visible enforcement activities using the tagline "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over."

Police will focus on finding drivers who are operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances.

Roving Patrol Details are funded by a PennDOT grant and are one of many tools used to increase public safety through increased awareness created by high profile enforcement.
