DUI Crackdown In Lower Merion This Weekend

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion will be out in force looking for impaired drivers over the weekend.

According to the township, police will conduct DUI patrols from June 11 through June 15.

Police will be roving the township in an effort to crack down on drivers who are under the influence.

The patrols are part of the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" initiative.

This initiative is in partnership with a national impaired driving crackdown featuring intensified, highly visible enforcement activities.

Police will focus on finding motorists who are operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances.

Roving patrol details are funded by a PennDOT grant and are one of many tools used to increase public safety through increased awareness created by high profile enforcement.
